The trust contract that makes Pista work — read before posting.
Pista is a neighbourhood mutual-aid platform. These rules protect pet owners, finders and neighbours. By posting, you accept them.
What you can post
- Alerts for lost, found or sighted pets, with a photo, approximate location and factual description.
- Volunteer pet-sitting requests and profiles, in line with the mutual-aid charter.
- Accurate, dated sightings on ongoing alerts.
What is forbidden
- Any money request: ransom, "transport fees", deposits — returning a pet is always free and in person.
- Fake alerts, public contact details (phone, email, exact address) and identity impersonation.
- Hateful, defamatory, commercial content or anything unrelated to neighbourhood pet mutual aid.
- Spam and repeated posting of the same content.
How moderation works
- Every piece of content can be reported with the "Report" button. Three reports from distinct users automatically hide the content pending review.
- The moderation team decides: content restored, permanently hidden, or account suspended in case of repeat offence or scam.
- Sitter profiles are reviewed by a human before going public.
- If an animal is in immediate danger, also contact the pound, city hall or municipal police.
Privacy and data
- Positions are shown approximately; your exact home address is never published.
- Phone and email stay private: conversations go through internal messaging.
- You can export or delete your data anytime from "My account".
